Michael Stewart, has definately made an impact on the first four days in the Scottish Boys Championship at Southerness this week. A first round tie against Jamie Binning, Ranfurly Castle was taken with ease with a comfortable 5 & 4 victory for the youngster. On day 2 a blistering performance and a victory of 8 & 7 swept aside Scott Brown, Turnberry. Day 3 for Michael proved a challenge as his long game let him down but he made a comfortable victory of 3 & 2 against Ross Milne, Aboyne. Day 4 (TODAY) proved that Michael deserves to be seeded number one for the tournament, he faced Tom Spencer, Inchmarlo, and comfortably won 7 & 5. The victory takes Michael into the LAST 16! Sam Findlater, appearing for the first time in the competition is also making notable progress. Day 1 seen a 3 & 2 victory over Stuart Wylie, Mount Ellen. Day 2 seen a comfortable victory of 6 & 4 against Ryan Higgins, East Renfrewshire. Day 3 was a local battle as he was drawn against Jared Williams of St Meddans, Sam held his nerve and overcame Jared at the 19th hole.
